So it's my last day in Miri. I followed the advise of my study agent and searched for kolok mee (a local noodle dish). Unfortunately I woke up just a little bit too late and a lot of shops were done with lunch hours. At the end I did get my kolok mee but it wasn't that good. -sad face-
For dinner, my parents were sending me to dinner just before I fly off. So I opted for kolok mee again. This time it was satisfactory. I also ordered Chinese tea for my drink (anyone know what's the proper name for Chinese tea?). Kolok mee and Chinese tea is like the cheapest option for a meal here.
Then there I was saying goodbye to my parents. My solo journey started. Well not literally cos I do have friends coming along.
We waited quite long during boarding time wondering what the hell is happening. After everyone has entered the plane, we were informed that their previous flight from KL to Miri had a collision with a 'big bird'. We needed to wait for about an hour in the plane because they needed the confirmation of an engineer that the plane is safe to fly. At least our food were served early. We all ate on the plane before it even moved from it's gate.
I managed to finish "Inside Out" during this flight. I wasn't expecting anything except that it was kinda deep. Yea it was. I liked it.
When we arrived at KLIA, we rushed to our next destination which was the international departure hall. Apparently a fire drill was going on at the airport. We didn't give a damn. And so did (or didn't) the other citizens (except the workers). Also, I met my sis there as she wanted to meet me and I needed to pass her something. Then we said our goodbyes.
The check in line for Dubai by Emirates was really long. Because of reasons, we couldn't check in online which would be much faster. But anyway we made it in time.
Now onto 12th of September!
