So there I was, flying from KL to Dubai on an Emirates plane. Damn it's sweet! The seats were comfy, entertainment were plenty and the service was good. We were provided with a pillow and 2 blankets. Of course not to forget the headphones
Look at that! The atmosphere was so cool.
2nd movie of my journey was a Japanese movie, "Assassination Classroom". I originally wanted to watch the movie because one of the actress is Jiyoung who is an ex-KARA member. Turns out the movie was quite nice. Weird... but cool.
3rd movie of the journey is a Korean movie, "Chronicle of a Blood Merchant". I wanted to watch this movie because the main actress is Ha Jiwon. She is such a good actress and I love all the roles that she took. This movie had quite a flat plot but it has a meaningful message behind it all.
4th movie during this half of the journey is another Korean movie, "Twenty". I originally wanted to watch this movie because of Lee Yubi who was actually just a side character. But it turns out that this movie is very funny! I really enjoyed it. I needed to avoid laughing out loud because of obvious reasons.
Now let's talk about the food. They were really interesting. I can't explain them in detail now because I already forgot (I'm typing this on the 16th) but I assure you they were really good. Or maybe scratch that because not everyone have the same taste in food.
After around 6 hours of flying, we landed in Dubai! I had high expectations for Dubai but alas... we didn't get to look outside the airport where all the beautiful cars might be. We didn't even see the Dubai skyline. But at least the interior of the airport was beautiful.
Onto our next flight, the last movie I watched on this journey is "Tomorrowland". It's an interesting story but is easily forgotten. By now I've grown tired of watching movies. Throughout the 2 flights I barely slept at all. Siting beside a girl definitely made the long flight more enjoyable.
Then we arrived at New Castle! It wasn't a very big airport but that was expected. When we went out of the airport, it was cold. But I liked it. The temperature was so cool unlike the hot Malaysia. And so, we continued on by bus to Sunderland.
We went to our respective accommodations around the university. Our house was quite nice. Some things were underwhelming but some were better than we expected. That's normal I guess. After resting for a bit, we planned to have a walk and find dinner.
For dinner, a senior of ours brought us to eat at a continental restaurant. It was pricey and the portion was huge. Suffice to say we're probably not eating there again anytime soon.
After dinner and a little more walking around our town area, we ended 1st cold day and went to bed. After almost 48 hours I finally get to sleep. No AC required.
